WannaCry Ransomware attack was initially launched in Feb 2017 and have affected more than 200,000 computers over 150 countries world wide.
This virus encrypts all files on your computer and prompts a message to pay a ransom of USD 300 equivalent in bitcoin. How ever there is no guaranty that your computer will be fixed even after paying the ransom as there is no way to track your payment made.
How ever reports show that victims have paid more than USD 50,000 to get rid of this situation.
